How to use Watermark PDF
- Choose the PDF file.
- Type the watermark text, or choose an image such as your logo.
- Set opacity, angle and position (centre, top, bottom or tiled).
- Press Add watermark and download the PDF.
About Watermark PDF
The watermark is placed on top of the page content with the opacity you choose, so the page stays readable at 20 to 40%. Pages with a rotation get the watermark the right way up as they are displayed.
Is it private?
Yes. Watermark PDF runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Questions and answers
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The watermark is added inside your browser. The file never leaves your device.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn into each page's content, so it cannot be switched off like a layer, but someone with a PDF editor could still delete it. For strong protection, combine it with Protect PDF.
Can I use text in any language?
Yes. Latin text is drawn as real Helvetica text. Other scripts, such as Chinese, Arabic or Cyrillic, are drawn as a sharp image of the text with your device's fonts.
Can I use my logo?
Yes. Choose "Image or logo" and pick a PNG (transparent backgrounds work), JPG, WebP or SVG file.
What does Tiled do?
It repeats the watermark in a staggered grid across the whole page, which makes it hard to crop out.
