Is it private?
Yes. Remove Metadata from Photos runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is read by code running in your browser tab. It is never sent to Nolo or anyone else, and the tool keeps working with your internet switched off.
Which metadata is removed?
EXIF (camera, settings, dates, GPS, thumbnail), XMP, IPTC, comments, PNG text fields and timestamps, and WebP EXIF/XMP chunks.
Can I remove metadata from PDFs too?
Yes, with the PDF Metadata Remover, which clears the title, author, software, dates and XMP of PDFs.
Will my photos look different?
No. JPG, PNG and WebP files are cleaned without re-encoding. Only HEIC photos are converted, to a high-quality JPG.
