- Check the preview table.
- Download the .csv file.
Is it private?
Yes. JSON to CSV runs entirely in your web browser. What you type is never sent to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send it anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive data. Nothing is stored either: close the page and it is gone. How Nolo works.
Questions and answers
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser and your data never leaves your device. The page is not allowed to talk to any other site, so it is safe to use with real data and secrets.
What JSON shapes work?
An array of objects works best. An array of arrays becomes rows directly, a single object becomes one row, and an object that contains an array of records (like {"data": [...]}) uses that array.
How are nested objects and arrays handled?
With flattening on, nested objects become dotted columns (address.city). Arrays are written as JSON text in one cell, such as ["a","b"], so no data is lost.
Why do accents look wrong in Excel?
Excel may assume an old encoding for CSV files. Turn on "Excel-friendly download" to add a UTF-8 byte order mark, and use the semicolon delimiter if your Excel uses a comma as the decimal separator.
What if the objects have different keys?
Every key found in any object becomes a column, in the order first seen. Missing values are left empty.
