How to use Case Converter

  1. Type or paste your text.
  2. Choose the case you want.
  3. Copy or download the result, or use it as the new input.

Is it private?

Yes. Case Converter runs entirely in your web browser. What you type is never sent to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send it anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive data. Nothing is stored either: close the page and it is gone. How Nolo works.

Questions and answers

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser and your text never leaves your device.

Which words stay lower case in Title Case?

Short articles, conjunctions and prepositions (a, an, the, and, but, or, for, of, on, in, to, at, by, viaโ€ฆ) stay lower case unless they are the first or last word or follow a colon. Words that already contain capitals, like iPhone or NASA, are kept as they are.

How does Sentence case work?

Everything is lowered, then the first letter of each sentence is capitalized, as is the word "I". Proper nouns such as names are lowered too, so check them afterwards.

Can I convert a list of variable names?

Yes. camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case convert each line separately, and they understand existing camelCase, so "XMLHttpRequest" becomes "xml_http_request".

Does it work with accented and non-Latin letters?

Yes. It uses Unicode-aware upper and lower casing, so รฉ, รŸ, Greek and Cyrillic letters convert correctly.
