About Merge PDF
Merging works page by page: every page from every file is copied into a new PDF without re-rendering, so text stays sharp and searchable and the file is not re-compressed.
Is it private?
Yes. Merge PDF runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Results are kept encrypted on your device for 60 minutes in Your files, then deleted automatically, or straight away with Delete all. How Nolo works.
Questions and answers
Are my PDFs uploaded when I merge them?
No. Nolo merges PDFs inside your browser. The files never leave your device, and the page cannot send them anywhere.
Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
No daily limit and no account. The only limit is your device's memory; most phones handle hundreds of pages and computers far more.
Will the merged PDF keep links, bookmarks and form fields?
Pages, text, images and links are kept exactly. Bookmarks (the outline) of the original files are not carried over, and form fields from different files may need to be refilled.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Unlock them first with Unlock PDF (you need the password), then merge them.
Does it add a watermark?
No. Nolo never adds watermarks.
