Is it private?
Yes. Voice Recorder runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Results are kept encrypted on your device for 60 minutes in Your files, then deleted automatically, or straight away with Delete all. How Nolo works.
Questions and answers
Are my recordings uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser with its built-in media engine (WebCodecs). Your recordings never leave your device, and the page works offline once loaded.
Which microphone does it use?
Your browser's default microphone. You can change it in your browser or system sound settings, then reload the page.
How long can I record?
As long as you like. A minute of recording takes about 1 MB while recording and about 1.4 MB as a 192 kbps MP3.
Why can't I record?
The page needs microphone permission. If you blocked it, allow the microphone in the address bar's site settings and try again.
Can I trim the recording?
Yes. Download it and open it in the Audio Cutter to cut silence and add fades.
