Is it private?
Yes. Screen Recorder runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Results are kept encrypted on your device for 60 minutes in Your files, then deleted automatically, or straight away with Delete all. How Nolo works.
Questions and answers
Are my recordings uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser with its built-in media engine (WebCodecs). Your recordings never leave your device, and the page works offline once loaded.
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No watermark and no time limit from Nolo. The recording is kept in memory, so very long recordings need a lot of free memory (roughly 20 to 60 MB per minute).
Can it record system sound?
In Chrome and Edge you can tick "Share audio" when sharing a tab (or the whole screen on Windows). Firefox and Safari currently record the picture only; turn on the microphone to add your voice.
Does it work on phones?
Mostly not: mobile browsers do not let web pages capture the screen. Use your phone's built-in screen recorder instead.
Why WebM?
Browsers record in WebM (VP8/VP9 + Opus). Press Convert to MP4 to repackage or re-encode it for editors and phones that expect MP4.
