About PNG to JPG
PNG is lossless and great for graphics, but photos saved as PNG are huge. Converting them to JPG at 85โ90% quality keeps them looking the same at a fraction of the size.
Is it private?
Yes. PNG to JPG runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Questions and answers
Will the file get smaller?
For photos, yes, usually a lot (often 70โ90% smaller). For screenshots with text, a JPG can show faint blur around letters; keep PNG or use WebP for those.
What happens to transparency?
JPG cannot store it, so transparent areas are painted with the background colour you pick (white by default).
Are my PNG files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device. Your PNG files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the tool keeps working with the internet switched off.
Is there a limit on files or size?
No sign-up, no daily limit and no file-size cap. Your device's memory is the only limit.
