- Choose Minify or Beautify.
- Copy or download the result.
Is it private?
Yes. CSS Minifier runs entirely in your web browser. What you type is never sent to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send it anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive data. Nothing is stored either: close the page and it is gone. How Nolo works.
Questions and answers
Is my CSS sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser and your CSS never leaves your device. The page is not allowed to talk to any other site, so it is safe to use with real data and secrets.
Is the minification safe?
Yes, it is deliberately conservative. It only removes comments, line breaks and spaces that never matter (around { } ; , > ~ and after a property colon) and the last semicolon in a block. Spaces inside strings, url() and calc() are kept, and "a :hover" keeps its meaningful space.
Does it shorten colors or merge rules?
No. It does not rewrite values or selectors, so the output always behaves exactly like the input. Advanced optimizers such as cssnano or Lightning CSS save a little more in a build pipeline.
Are license comments kept?
Yes. Comments starting with /*! are kept, as is the convention for licenses.
How much smaller will my CSS get?
It depends on how many comments and how much indentation the file has; the tool shows the exact saving. Gzip or Brotli compression on your server saves more on top.
