AVIF is a modern image format based on the AV1 video codec. It makes very small files, but some editors and upload forms still cannot open it.
My AVIF will not open. Why?
Reading AVIF needs a browser that supports it: current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16.4+ do. Update your browser if the file is rejected.
Are my AVIF files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device. Your AVIF files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the tool keeps working with the internet switched off.
Is there a limit on files or size?
No sign-up, no daily limit and no file-size cap. Your device's memory is the only limit.
