Is it private?
Yes. Checksum Calculator runs entirely in your web browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to Nolo or anyone else, and the page cannot send them anywhere: its security policy only allows it to talk to nolotools.com, which has no place to receive files. Questions and answers
Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is read by code running in your browser tab. It is never sent to Nolo or anyone else, and the tool keeps working with your internet switched off.
What does "No match" mean?
The file is not identical to the one the checksum was made for. Download it again; if it still does not match, do not open it.
Which checksum types are supported?
SHA-256, SHA-1, SHA-512, MD5 and CRC32. The tool also suggests which type a pasted hash is from its length.
Is there a file-size limit?
No fixed limit. Large files are streamed in pieces, so the limit is only your patience.
